Our trails are opened and closed via 28 gates. Out of respect for the landowners that make our 38 miles of trail available, we only open the gates after a minimum snowpack has been established. In most cases, we open after 8” or more of snow has fallen and the ground is frozen.
There are two Park-and-Ride locations-- Northwood Meadows State Park and Northwoods Brewery (at the back left end of the parking lot). Please respect Northwoods Brewery and Johnsons by obeying posted signs and being courteous. The Northwoods Brewing family supports safe snowmobiling and our club, please support them.
Our trails are accessible by snowmobile from Pawtuckaway State Park, Corridor 17 from Pittsfield, 17A from Strafford and Corridor 17 from Barrington.
Our neighboring snowmobiling clubs include The Strafford Swamp Stompers, The Southern NH Snow Slickers, The Barrington Snow Goers and The Suncook Valley Snow Riders.
Our trails cross Northwood Lake and Jenness Pond although we keep no record of ice thickness. Proceed at your own risk.
Johnsons Seafood and Steak, Northwoods Brewery and Heritage Village Market are all accessible via snowmobile trail. Heritage Hardware stocks tune-up parts and oils. Our trail system does not have gas. The nearest gas stations via snowmobile are Bosco Bell in Barnstead and the Isinglass Store in Strafford.
We are always working to add to and improve our trails. Trail Work parties are held on Sundays from 8am until Noon throughout the winter.
Stay on trail • Respect and Thank Landowners • Don’t Litter
We have maps available at the four trailhead kiosks located throughout the trail system. Our trails are also listed on the NHSA trails app.
